It's Bath time

Benjamin got a bath today after spitting up all over himself. (Then later Mommy got a bath after he spit up all over her! BTW, grossest thing ever, he spit up in my MOUTH!!! YECK!!!)

I had to put a couple of the pictures up because he is so cute in the bath. He is really starting to enjoy it! Splashing around and chasing his toys around the tub!! Yea for bath time!

Chasing his toys!!

Caught by surprise!

Cutest picture! Can you see the heart!!

Wow, look at all of those wrinkles!!! He's not even that chubby!

A visit from Grandma and Grandpa Wilke

Here are some of the wonderful pictures Mom took while she was here!!!

He really wanted to get to the camera!

This one is so my favorite!!! What a beautiful boy! He totally looks like he is posing!

I also like this one, he looks like some mischievous little elf!

Laughing with Grandma!

This last week we enjoyed a wonderful visit from Grandma and Grandpa Wilke (Mom and Dad). And its still weird to think of them as Grandma and Grandpa Wilke.

Dad was in town for a work convention in SLC, and Mom decided to come along and play with us!!! It was lots of fun!! We took them out for their anniversary Friday night when they arrived. We also had lots of fun playing Dance Dance Revolution on Saturday morning (too bad we didn't get any pictures!). We also went out to dinner with Bob and Shirleen, and Mike and Sharrie.

Sunday we had a nice dinner with some family! And we had LOTS of fun playing games. So much fun that we played much later then we had planned! We are so excited to have another fun game night in two weeks!

We took lots of walks in the Orem Mall, we also got to eat at Iceburg a couple times (Mom and Dad had to get their Iceburg fix while they were here!!). Yea for Triple Berry Shakes (Mmmmmm!!!) We also got to take a nice trip to the Temple (thank you Auraleen for watching Benji).

Best of all, Mom, Dad, AND Valerie are coming again in April for school/Women's Conference/Nathan's graduation!!! YEAAA!!!!

Growing UP!

So its hard to believe that Benji is almost 6 months old! He has been growing SOO fast! And he is eager to get moving! He is now getting up on his hands and knees regularly, and sometimes his hands and feet (in a triangle :). He is beginning to get around, he is much happier during "tummy time" because he can move around. Sunday he scooted 6 feet across our living room! Its not a full blown crawl yet, but he is enjoying his freedom!

The other day Benjamin grabbed his blanket and rolled, he rolled himself up in his blanket. When I bent down to uncover his face, this was the picture I got! I love it!!! It is on my phone and EVERYTHING! SO PRECIOUS!

Things are going well for us. Rodney is continuing to enjoy his job and is doing very well! We have recently lease optioned both of his homes, which makes bill paying much simpler for us! I am finally getting over the anemia that I had during the month of January, and I am feeling much better! Yeah for energy!

4 months already!

So its hard to believe that Benjamin is now 4 and half months old!!! Time has passed so quickly! Benjamin turned 4 mo. on January 4th! He is doing great!

At his 4 month check-up, Benji was 14.5 lbs and 16 1/4 inches. He is in the 35% for weight and the 88% for height! At his 2 mo. check-up Benji was in the 75% for weight. I asked the DR. was it a concern that he had dropped so much (he still gained a lb and a half) percentile wise, he said no, everything was fine. So Benjamin is a good healthy boy, very tall and skinny though!

Benji is beginning to learn how to scoot forward. When we lay him down for "tummy time" He will often scoot forward some by the end. He is a very stong boy and still loves to stand and sit up and look around. He gets mad everytime Rodney tries to lay him down in his arms. He wants to see the world! Benji is also very good at turning himself over (both sides) If you lay him on his back he is usually on his belly within a few minutes or visa versa. Tummy time is semi-pointless because if he doesn't want to be on his belly, he will flip himself over very quickly! He also likes to sleep on his stomach (he got that one from his mommy!) I always put him to sleep on his back (for safety) but by the time he falls asleep he is usually on his stomach.

Rodney and I are enjoying watching him grow so quickly! He as a very cute little laugh, and like all boys seems to enjoy potty sounds the most :) He also takes after his dad in that he likes to look at computer/ tv screens, he loves the bright lights and changing pictures. He also loves my cell phone while I talk to people. He has hung up on some people by grabbing the phone while I talk. (So if I ever hang up on you, most likely it wasn't me!!)

more pictures

For more pictures of Cami, me, or Benjamin (TONS of Benjamin) please look at our Facebook profiles. It's silly to store them in both places - you can find TONS more pics on Facebook!

Thanks and love,
Rodney

PS: The Great Life training I did was AWESOME! The website is www.greatlifefoundation.org - it's a universal training I recommend to EVERYONE - and since it's a non-profit it's super-cheap! You can do "Part 1" - which in and of itself will make your life 10 times better - for $100! (I have a coupon to get you that discount; let me know!)

Thanksgiving 2009

Thanksgiving this year was fun. It was our turn to head to Ohio, but because that is so far away we decided to stay here. We combined with Janine's family (my sister-in-law), we also invited Valerie (my sister), Nathan (my brother), and Valerie's friends Carrie and Amy.

We had lots of food! Lots of pies!!! And plenty of fun!!!! Then Valerie, Rodney, and I spent part of Friday doing Christmas decorations!!! YEA!!! It was very exciting to get them put up!!! We even have 3 stockings!!!

Finally we Begin!!!

So we established this blog log before Benjamin was born, we hadn't even decided his name yet. And as you can see we were both so good at keeping up with it! Now that I finally have the location and password, hopefully I will be much better at keeping up with it!

Rodney just finished parts 1 and 2 of "Great Life" training. While he was gone for 4 whole days for each part, he really appreciated the understanding he gained of himself and his purpose! Rodney continues to work hard as a real estate investment coach, which he enjoys very much! Rodney has also recently joined a Barbershop group, he greatly looks forward to Tuesday nights!

I am still adjusting to being a stay-at-home mom. It is very different from teaching 6th graders, but I am definately enjoying it! I have also begun watching my 18 mo. old niece Aubrey, which adds a whole new spin to things...but again, its pretty fun!

Benjamin...What can I say??? He is the most precious and adorable baby I have ever seen!! But of course I am not prejudice at all :) Benjamin is doing great! He was 13 lbs at his 2 mo. check up. He is a very happy baby, always smiling and laughing and he loves to "talk". The dr. says he has great head control and he loves to stand and look around him, he also loves to sit up (I of course have to hold him up). This Friday (Dec. 4th ) he will be 3 mo. old! Its amazing how fast time flies.

We are very excited for Christmas in our house! Friday we set up our Christmas tree and stockings and I have begun making Christmas candies and I hope to do some cookies soon also! We love the Holidays!
